Much better known as a midget driver, Nick started racing midgets in the late 1970's and soon proved extremely adept, taking multiple wins in Mike Scrivani Sr.'s midget car in the North Eastern Midget Series. In 1986, the same year he was in the ARS, he won the ARDC Midget title. He was no slouch in the ARS either, finishing on the podium once and taking 30 points in 5 races. However Nick went back to midgets rather than carrying on in single-seaters and once again won the ARDC Midget title in 1995. Injuries sustained in racing have meant he is now retired from both driving, and the ironworks job he took to support his racing activities. Although he doesn't race Nick keeps links to the midget fraternity, and over 100 wins in the category to his credit.
